COVID-19 Statement

The health, wellbeing and safety of our patients, their families and our people is our priority and always will be.

As you are aware, the COVID-19 situation changes daily, and new information is always being released. The Government guidance for dentistry is no different – and is constantly being updated to reflect the latest situation to ensure people are kept safe and well.

We understand the importance of offering a healthcare service to our patients, so in line with recent Government advice, we are ensuring that many of our practices are available to offer telephone support and advice to patients with urgent need.

With this in mind, we have carefully considered the advice given by the Government and the NHS, regarding Covid-19, to compile a set of precautionary measures that we are now following.

All routine, non-urgent dental care including orthodontics will be stopped and deferred until advised otherwise.

Our practices have establish a remote urgent care service, providing telephone triage for our patients with urgent needs during reduced working hours, and whenever possible treating with:

• Advice
• Analgesia
• Antimicrobial means where appropriate

If the patient’s condition cannot be managed by these means, then they will need to be referred to the most appropriate support location if further care is needed.

It is important to follow the advice we are being given and take the necessary steps that are required to effectively manage the progression of this virus. We may be feeling frustration or anxiety but, if we look after ourselves and look out for others, together we will pull through.
